Ultra-quick and simple pasta dish using only 3 ingredients!

Bring a large pot of heavily-salted water to the boil, follow the package directions and cook pasta until al dente.
While the pasta cooks, melt the cream cheese in a skillet over medium-low heat until smooth. Add the cooked chicken or Italian sausage at this stage if using.
When pasta is cooked, use a glass measuring cup to reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
Add half the pasta water to the melted cream cheese and whisk until smooth, then add the pasta and everything bagel seasoning, stirring gently until the pasta is fully coated with sauce. Stir in more of the pasta water to loosen up the sauce if necessary. Serve immediately.
